Meredith Helm, PHR, SHRM-CP
Meredith graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She started her career at Enterprise Rent-A Car in the Management Trainee program and then worked in various industries before getting in to the Staffing industry with Robert Half in 2005. She then went on to be the HR Manager at Scott-Gross Company in Winchester, KY for 10 years before recently joining The Jockey Club in Lexington, KY as the HR Manager. She obtained her Professional in Human Resources Certificate (PHR) in 2009 and also currently holds the SHRM-CP certification. Meredith is a member of National SHRM and this is her second year serving on the BCA board.
Shelley Cizik, SHRM-SCP

Shelley is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. She began her professional career with Griffin Gate Marriott Resort where she spent over six years assisting with multiple Human Resources functions including training and development, recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee relations, payroll, and compliance management. She transitioned to the public sector in 2016 and currently works as a Human Resources Generalist with the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government specializing in Talent Acquisition and Compensation.
Shelley currently holds the SHRM-SCP certification and is a member of both the National SHRM and local Bluegrass SHRM Chapter.
Allison Pettrey, PHR, SHRM-CP
Allison serves in the lead HR role for a number of organizations throughout the Bluegrass, including a Lexington-based IT Managed Services Company and one of the largest Commercial Property Management firms in Kentucky. Prior to joining HRG, Allison obtained 5 years of hands-on experience serving as the General Manager of a non-profit organization in Georgetown, Kentucky. Allison has obtained her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification and her SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation, and she is a member of BGSHRM as well as serves on the Bluegrass Compensation Association board.
Having studied at Oxford University and graduated from Georgetown College, Allison has her bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis on creative writing and is responsible for not only compensation program design, but also crafting communications and policies and procedures in order to facilitate the success of new or updated programs. Allison handles all HR functions including recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation program design, writing/interpreting job descriptions, compliance with employment law, and creating and delivering internal and/or external communications.
Heather Kennon, PHR, SHRM-CP
Heather is currently the HR Generalist for Kentucky Medical Services Foundation, Inc in Lexington, KY. She began her professional career at TI Automotive over 20 years ago as an HR Generalist. Since then she has held similar HR roles at Ashland, Inc and Scott-Gross Company, as well as an HR Manager role at Kenney Orthopedics. During her career she completed her Associates in Business Administration at Lexington Community College and her Bachelor’s in Human Resources Leadership at Sullivan University. She obtained her PHR certification in 2001, and also currently holds the SHRM-CP certification.
She is a member of National SHRM and this is her fourth year serving on the board of BCA.
Autumn Morris, MBA, SHRM-CP
As an HR Consultant, Autumn serves as the lead on HR Assessment projects which consists of hosting focus groups, evaluating HR strategy, interviewing key stakeholders, and auditing human resource files and documentation. Autumn has served as the lead in development of HRG’s innovative, online HR assessment product, the HR Marathon. Autumn supports a number of compensation engagements and has experience benchmarking, creating compensation structures, evaluating market data and internal equity in addition to developing compensation policies, procedures, and best practices.
In addition to project work, Autumn is hands-on in multiple ongoing outsourcing arrangements, putting her eye for detail to good use in benefits, onboarding, and other strategic and compliance HR functions. Autumn received her Master’s in Business Administration from Northern Kentucky University. She attended Eastern Kentucky University for her undergraduate degree, with a double major in management and marketing. During college, she participated and held leadership roles in both Maroon SHRM and The Society for the Advancement of Management. Autumn is a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional. Autumn currently serves on the board of Bluegrass Compensation Association.
