Meredith Helm, PHR, SHRM-CP
Meredith graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She started her career at Enterprise Rent-A Car in the Management Trainee program and then worked in various industries before getting in to the Staffing industry with Robert Half in 2005. She then went on to be the HR Manager at Scott-Gross Company in Winchester, KY for 10 years before recently joining The Jockey Club in Lexington, KY as the HR Manager. She obtained her Professional in Human Resources Certificate (PHR) in 2009 and also currently holds the SHRM-CP certification. Meredith is a member of National SHRM and this is her second year serving on the BCA board.
Tamara Walters, PHR, SHRM-CP
Tammy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Kentucky and began her career in Human Resources as an HR business partner with Best Buy. She transitioned to the public sector with the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government in 2001 and has expanded her career through all facets of human resources. Tammy is currently Deputy Director of Human Resources for the city and holds SHRM-CP and PHR certifications.
She is also active in the community and serves as a volunteer on several boards.
Heather Morton, PHR, SHRM-CP
Heather is currently the HR Manager for Kenney Orthopedics in Nicholasville, KY. She began her professional career at TI Automotive over 20 years ago as an HR Generalist. Since then she has held similar HR roles at Ashland, Inc and Scott-Gross Company. During her career she completed her Associates in Business Administration at Lexington Community College and her Bachelor’s in Human Resources Leadership at Sullivan University. She obtained her PHR certification in 2001, and also currently holds the SHRM-CP certification.
She is a member of National SHRM and this is her second year serving on the board of BCA.
Allison Pettrey, PHR, SHRM-CP
Having studied at Oxford University and graduated from Georgetown College, Allison went straight to work for a non-profit in Georgetown, KY where she obtained 5 years of hands-on experience serving as the General Manager. Currently, Allison is a Consultant for Hanna Resource Group where she serves in the lead HR role for a number of organizations in the Bluegrass, including a Lexington-based Managed IT Services company as well as one of the largest Commercial Property Management firms. In addition to her onsite HR services, Allison also leads or participates in projects related to compensation program design, market pricing positions, creating and delivering internal and/or external communication, and compliance with employment law.
Allison has obtained her Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) and her SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation. She is also a member of Bluegrass SHRM, and this is her third year on the BCA Board.
Autumn Morris, MBA, SHRM-CP
Autumn is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, with a double major in management and marketing. In 2020, Autumn received her MBA from Northern Kentucky University. During college, she participated and held leadership roles in both Maroon SHRM and The Society for the Advancement of Management. Autumn is a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional.
As an Associate HR Consultant with Hanna Resource Group, Autumn provides support for a variety of human resource projects. Autumn has a wealth of experience writing and interpreting job descriptions, performing human resource audits, assisting with compensation projects, and evaluating FLSA classifications.
In addition to project work, Autumn is hands-on in multiple ongoing outsourcing arrangements, putting her eye for detail to good use in benefits and payroll administration, onboarding, and general HR compliance functions. Autumn has the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation.
